The Northern University Student Centre (NUSC) is YOUR student building.  We encourage you to spend some time here!  You will find study space, meeting space, hang out space, the clubs room, the NUSC Event Space, the NUGSS office, the Thirsty Moose Pub, Degrees Coffee co., the Pride Centre, Over the Edge Newspaper, CFUR Radio, PGPIRG---and at least a couple friends!

Student Spaces in the NUSC:

NUSC Event Space

The NUSC Event Space is used for large events such as conferences, dances, shows and the University Farmer's Market.

NUGSS Board Room

This is a large and formal meeting room right across from the NUGSS office.  If the room is free, you can use it to study but keep in mind that if there is a booking you will be asked to leave.  Please respect this space and leave it as you found it.  If you would like to book this room, please inquire at the NUGSS office.

Clubs Room

If you are a club under NUGSS this is a great place to host your meetings.  There are also filing cabinets for all clubs, and phones and computers for club use.  If you would like to book this room for your club meetings, please inquire at the NUGSS office.  Please respect this space and keep it as neat and tidy as possible.

Small Meeting Room

This is our smallest meeting room next to the washrooms on the second floor.  If the room is free, you can use it to study but keep in mind that if there is a booking you will be asked to leave.  Please respect this space and leave it as you found it.  If you would like to book this room, please inquire at the NUGSS office.

Medium Meeting Room

This has a large board room style table and is located next to Over the Edge newspaper.  If the room is free, you can use it to study but keep in mind that if there is a booking you will be asked to leave.  Please respect this space and leave it as you found it.  If you would like to book this room, please inquire at the NUGSS office.

Crash and Burn Lounge

This is a comfy study space with lounge chairs and a large window overlooking the bus loop.  If the room is free, you can use it to study but keep in mind that if there is a booking you will be asked to leave.  Please respect this space and leave it as you found it.  If you would like to book this room, please inquire at the NUGSS office.

Up Tempo Lounge

This lounge is located next to Degrees Coffee co. and is a casual spot to study, catch up over coffee, or wait for the bus.  This is an open space that cannot be booked.
